Donovan Davis Jr. of Palm Bay Florida is currently under investigation by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for operating a fraudulent commodity pool. Mr. Davis and the defendants are alleged to have told investors that their funds would be pooled with other investor funds but he instead split the monies to trade in forex futures and options. The defendants also allegedly deposited millions in Capital Blu Management, LLC accounts that the defendants used for personal expenses like luxury cars and private jet charters. In the fraudulent commodity scheme, the defendants allegedly solicited approximately $17 million ($7 million of which was lost in trade) from 100 investors. While the case is currently under investigation, Donovan Davis is facing five counts of wire fraud and one count of money laundering.
